Nigerian students at the Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom have protested the institution’s threat to withdraw them over unpaid tuition.
They urged the school management to give them more time to pay their fees as the depreciating value of the naira has forced an over 300 per cent increment on them.
Their action is due to a threat by the university to withdraw defaulting students.

@Callmematterr, reacting to the matter, said, “I sympathize with all Nigerian int’l students with no scholarship & whose tuition (& rent) are paid by honest, hardworking parents/sponsors back home. It’s such a difficult time for them. For the children of corrupt politicians, may the curses on their parents visit them abroad.”
@RichAutos001: “Me too I need more time because to raise this money within 20 hours per week is not easy at all.”
@Ogunlola23: “Teesside is worse. They are blocking people and withdrawing their CAS despite the mails and explanations. Its not nice at all.”
@Luckel0189: “NTU is so mean and Heartless. They don’t have human sympathy. All efforts to make them understand the situation has come to not.”
