The Nigerian man whose wife tore his ‘passport’ at an airport has claimed it was a prank.
The video, which trended last weekend, showed the woman speaking angrily while the torn passport was scattered on the floor.

Onlookers urged the man, who seemed bemused, to keep calm. While they questioned her, she asked them to mind their business.
The man recording the incident said she had been grumpy all through their flight.
She was arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) after the video went viral.
However, her husband has now made a U-turn to say the incident was a skit. He said he and his wife were trying to narrate a true story to their followers. He begged the NIS and Nigerians to forgive them.
He warned bloggers and other news outlets who reported the incident widely to always verify their stories before publishing them.

Their kids, who witnessed the airport drama, were also in the latest video asking Nigerians for forgiveness.
