A Nigerian man living in the United Kingdom has lamented the behaviour of Nigerians working in customer service.
He said he had called an energy provider’s customer care service and was linked with a Nigerian agent. He explained that he thought that would make his matter easier but it was worse.
He said he had called to complain about his energy bill, claiming it was not his.
The man, identified as @thefeyisayo on Instagram, said the agent had maintained his British accent even when he could hear his Ilorin intonation clearly. He bemoaned the treatment he got, saying as an Ogbomoso man, he expected an Ilorin man to be kind to him as they were neighbours back in Nigeria.
