A United Kingdom-based Nigerian cosmetic doctor, Oluwafemi ‘Tijon’ Esho, has landed in trouble after allegedly exchanging sex for botox with a patient.
Mayo Clinic defines botox as shots that use a toxin to prevent a muscle from moving for a limited time. These shots are often used to smooth wrinkles on the face. They’re also used to treat neck spasms, sweating, overactive bladder, lazy eye and other conditions.
The Medical Tribunal Practitioners Service (MPTS) will rule later in April to decide if Esho should continue practising in the country or not.
Esho, who has been featured on several popular TV programmes, was said to have admitted to an improper emotional relationship with the patient, an OnlyFans model.
The patient alleged that she and the doctor had exchanged sexual messages on Instagram.
The 42-year-old doctor, who has several celebrity clients, had told the tribunal he never had any physical sexual contact with her.
But the panel, during sitting in Manchester, ruled Esho did have sexual intercourse with the woman at his clinic in Newcastle in 2021 and administered botox free of charge.
The tribunal also ruled that the doctor told the woman he “could get away with giving her Botox in exchange for sexual services”.
The panel found that the overall conduct of the doctor, founder of Esho Clinic, with branches in London, Liverpool and Dubai, was sexually motivated, but it did not find the woman to be vulnerable because of her profession.
