A Nigerian man, Okechukwu Iweha, has been stabbed to death near the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The incident happened on Sunday at Northumberland Park on the outskirts of the stadium around 6 am.
The 46-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds.
A post-mortem examination will be held at Haringey Mortuary later this week. Police revealed that a manhunt has been launched for the killer.
Detectives investigating the murder have issued another plea for witnesses to come forward following the incident. Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, from the Specialist Crime Command, who is leading the investigation, said, “I am urging anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious to please come forward and speak with us.”
Tottenham Hotspur, in a statement on X, revealed that they were doing their utmost to assist in the investigation.
