A Kenyan socialite Black Cinderella has defended Nigerians, saying they are people she holds in high regards.
She discouraged her compatriots from calling for Nigerians’ deportation from the country, saying Kenyans were also residents of Nigeria.
She was responding to the arrest of a Nigerian man at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport over the murder and decapitation of a woman in Roysambu.
He was arrested while trying to flee to Nigeria. The head of the deceased 20-year-old woman was reportedly missing when she was found.
“I am not in support of what Kenyans are saying about deporting Nigerians because we have Kenyans in Nigeria. I am not in support of people generalising this judgement on all Nigerians because one person might be a criminal, but it does not mean all,” she was quoted as Tuko.co.ke as saying.
“We have the things about rituals. When you meet a true patriotic Nigerian, they will tell you some of these things happen in their country. But let us think logically: how will a Nigerian get a human head and board a flight back to Nigeria? The situation is not good.”
